In 1951, the three Hasenfratz brothers decided to establish their own company. With only rudimentary tools they started to produce slatted frames and beds in a shed and very quickly had a solid customer base throughout Switzerland.
The company grew quickly and it wasn’t long before new premises had to be found. A lot of money, time and energy were invested in building up a modern production line. Many jobs were created and the foundations for a prosperous future were laid.

An important step was taken in 1992: the hitherto biggest building project in the history of Hasena was completed when the new production facilities in Biel-Benken could be handed over for their intended purpose. The exemplary commitment and courage of the Hasenfratz brothers made Hasena AG what it is today: one of the biggest manufacturer’s of bed systems in Europe. The company is being managed by the second generation but the founding members are still on hand to give advice and help, if need be. Since 1992 we have been continuously capturing new markets so that, today, we delivering our products to more than 20 countries around the globe. The impact of these markets, our expertise and many partners and, last but not least the will on the part of our highly motivated employees to address these influences, results in the correct mix for surviving in an economy that is becoming more and more global.
